My approach to creating high fire, reduction pottery is from a functional perspective. What I hope to achieve is a functional vessel that incorporates classical elements of form along with fluid lines of motion, sculptural decorative elements and a balance of color and texture.

The Flameware series incorporates the beauty of high fire pottery design with a specially formulated, flame resistant clay body and durable, craze resistant glaze, that have been scientifically matched for stove top and oven cooking. No other type of pottery can make that claim. The "Furnoware" pottery series has been designed for the cooking connoisseur who understands the importance of preserving the flavors of the ingredients through the use of earthen pottery that also enhances the appearance of the prepared dish for serving directly to the table. Each piece is hand built to order and thus contains its own special characteristics.

The Designer Selection Stoneware Pottery series has been created for the discriminating client in search of a unique artistically designed item for that special location within a spacial environment that will capture the visual focus and enhance the spacial appearance. Each piece has been custom designed and built using the potters wheel and hand building techniques and is "one of a kind" and will not be reproduced.
