Marrowstone Pottery is nestled in the woods on beautiful Marrowstone Island (Nordland, WA) and was established in 2003 by George and Helena Chechopoulos who are the resident owners and operators. George specializes in teaching and producing hand made pottery on the wheel, slip casting, hand building and sculptural techniques while Helena specalizes in teaching and producing hand made tiles and hand made tile murals. The pottery was made available to other Artists in 2004 for classes and studio sessions during the week.

The pottery is fully equipped and includes 5 potters wheels, two electric kilns, an extruder, slab roller, pug mill and a 32 cu. ft. commercial high fire gas reduction kiln along with plenty of table space for sculpture and tile making. Future plans include building a small gas and wood fired, salt kiln.

A sales gallery is also located next to the studio and displays many of the works produced by the artists. This web site only displays a small selection of the work that is available for viewing and sale. Our Studio and Gallery are available for touring and sales most days of the week but it is always a good idea to call ahead to make sure that we are in. If you are interested in the classes or studio sessions, please call for information and an orientation appointment.
